We are pleased to announce that two of our local coaches, Mr Ng Yun Kwang and Mr Chin Jun Feng, had successfully completed the FIVB Coaches Course Level III organised by UAE Volleyball Association. The course was held from 1 September 2023 to 9 September 2023 at Aljazri Club in Abu Dhabi, UAE and attended by 34 participants from 20 different nations.
The course was led by Course Director, Mr. Gordon Mayforth from USA and Course Instructor, Mr. Mohamed Ben Mustapha from Tunisia. They had shared their valuable experience in all aspect of elite volleyball coaching. Some of the topics covered in the course include in-system and out-of-system planning of offensive and defensive drills based on scouting and match report, as well as using match analyses to increase efficiency of training programmes.
“I sincerely appreciate the opportunity to attend this course where I gained valuable insight to high levels of coaching in volleyball. Amongst the participants, there were also coaches from national teams and professional clubs who shared about their experience and journey in this profession. The varying coaching philosophies and techniques shared broadened my understanding of the game and helps me develop my coaching style.
